i feel like for that amount of money they could have bought a building and started a shelter for all the animals out there who need good homes, and named it after their lost dog to honor his memory by helping out other animals out there who need their help.

if you were to clone an animal of age 40, the clone would show aging signs of also being 40. meaning that clones often suffer from diseases and problems not normally seen in younger years - e.g. arthritis. so unfortunatly the chances of clones living a normal length life is next to none.

The cells of this dog are already old so this means Dylan will be dying at a very young age, younger than the age he originally died at possibly. So I guess what's the point of doing this

Sad that these people actually think they're somehow "recreating" their lost loved one (especially for THAT much money). It's a shallow copy; this new dog will never be Dylan.
