If they are worried about indicting a President, then they should listen to the wisdom of Mr. Spock, "For everything, there is a FIRST TIME"!

What is to decide for Christ sake? Equal justice for one and all. No accountability no consequences what was the point of the committee if not to send the charges. Who gives a crap what it looks like?

If Our Elected Officials that Pass our Laws Can Not Prosecute with Overwhelming Evidence That would Be a Contridiction in our laws!
The department of Justice Has an Obligation to Prosecute to the
Full extent of Our Federal laws!
This Needs Done NOW, Not next week or later, but NOW!

Every. Single. Politician. Involved.
They all need out of government forever, and into prison.
If they tried it once, they'll try it again.

Maybe it's time to stop worrying about how it looks "politically" and to start doing whit is best for the country.

What was the point of the committee if they aren’t going to send their evidence to the DOJ?

I would tell the committee and the DOJ one thing:

What worries me more than a political storm of referring a president for criminal charges? The fear that our democracy will be destroyed by power hungry monsters if we give them the chance

_Why the split on sending the evidence to the DOJ at this point? The USA citizens deserve the TRUTH to be revealed._

So they believe he committed a crime, but they're wondering whether or not to prosecute? *It must be nice to be above the law.* You or I would already be sitting in prison if we had done any of this stuff.

If a person/people in the government with power has evidence of a crime, then it is their duty to make sure that criminal meets justice. It's only fair.

"We all know what he did was massively illegal, but we don't want to set the precedent of not being above the law"

If the former guy broke the law, and they have evidence of a crime; I don't care who it is they have an obligation to turn in that crime. They are the lawmakers of the country for God's sake.

enough is enough this guy has been breaking the law his entire life and he's still walking the streets. When is he gonna be put away for the criminal that he is?

That is crazy, someone is guilty and no referral to hold them accountable? Cheney is talking GOP nonsense. 147 members of Congress should also be referred.

They need to do it before mid-term elections ...

If you have proof of criminal and seditious behavior, there should be no question of should we prosecute or not. He should be prosecuted and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

The Justice department doesn't need criminal referrals to pursue a prosecution but it does need all the evidence that referrals would necessarily include.

If they don't refer the case to DOJ knowing the guilt of those involved then they might as well have held the doors open to the Capitol building on 1/6.
