Jago 260| Solo Trekking the Fann Lakes Circuit in a Day: The Stunning Alauddin and Kulikalon Lakes
Показать описание
On day 128 I started hiking in the center of the Fann Mountains in Tajikistan. I departed from Vertical Alauddin Basecamp without bringing much luggage because the route I took was a loop that would take me back to the basecamp.
Thirty minutes of hiking south, I arrived at the first of many lakes to be encountered on the Fann Lakes Loop route. The lake water was very clear and the calm surface reflected the ice-capped mountain behind. After I was satisfied with taking photos, I continued to Lake Alauddin which was very blue and clear. I have never encountered a lake water this clear.
From Lake Alauddin I climbed west to reach Alauddin Pass which was at an altitude of around 3,800 meters above sea level. Near the top of the climb I passed a group of donkeys carrying luggage of hikers from Germany. I arrived at Alauddin Pass around 12:30 pm.
From Alauddin Pass the road winds down with views of the goats grazing there.
Approaching the bottom of the valley, I saw green trees with a lake in the distance.
This famous lake was Kulikalon Lake. Further east there was another lake which was a favorite camping spot for hikers.
I continued to push east and climbed up to the pass which was only around 3600 meters above sea level.
After arriving at the saddle-point, the road did not immediately descend drastically but traced the edge of the hill to the valley below.
I arrived at basecamp just before it was completely dark. The plan was that the next day I would continue hiking to Sarytag.
