Most of the etiquette seen here has to do with fine dining and higher class.

While many of these tips are good to know, some can be a bit ridiculous. One such example is greeting the opposite gender. While many cultures do greet with a side kiss, many people in the United States especially with greet with a handshake. And I'm not sure about East coast, but the more Western states tend to be a little more relaxed. If a guy offers to shake hands, no worries!

As for the other greeting where people kiss to the side of your cheeks, if the Guy and Gal are a couple, I say they can give each other a simple kiss. YES you don't want to have a makeout session, but a nice simple, yet solid kiss could be okay in my book.
