That C 130 scene remind me of a crazy cancelled SAS operation in Falkland War, when they decided to land a C 130 with spec op inside in an Argentine airbase, killed all Argentine pilot, blew up all jet fighter equipped with Exocet ASM then extract. Lucky for them to abandon the plan, the airbase was guarded by 4 elite Argentine battalions that were trained by SBS before, and the recon team for their raid had been spotted by Argentine navy.
After that SAS often did much simpler operation and most of the time they done their job perfectly.

My grandad was in the sbs. Only found out after his death, he never talked about it. Mesothelioma got him, took him from strong as a bull to a shell of a man in months. Miss you gramps
