Οι μαυροσκούφηδες παίρνουν τις θέσεις τους στο προαύλιο του στρατοπέδου, μαζί με τους άνδρες των Αερομεταφερόμενων Δυνάμεων Στρατού Ξηράς και μαζί με τους φιλοξενούμενους από την άλλη πλευρά του Ατλαντικού ωκεανού και τους ανώτερους και ανώτατους αξιωματικούς που εισέρχονται στον χώρο, ξεκινάει η εκδήλωση.
Πρόκειται για την τελετή έναρξης της Ελληνοαμερικανικής άσκησης «Θρακική Συνεργασία 23», που για άλλη μια χρονιά, θα λάβει χώρα στο Πετροχώρι Ξάνθης και θα βοηθήσει στα μέγιστα ως προς την εκπαίδευση των Ελληνικών ενόπλων δυνάμεων, όπως και των Αμερικανικών, ενισχύοντας ταυτόχρονα ακόμα περισσότερο, τους δεσμούς των δύο χωρών και αυξάνοντας τη διαλειτουργικότητα μεταξύ των διαφόρων μονάδων που θα λάβουν μέρος, ειδικά σε αυτή την περίεργη εποχή, γεμάτη ένταση που ζούμε.

This is the opening ceremony of the Hellenic-US exercise "Thracian Cooperation 23", which, for one more year, will take place in Petrochori, in Xanthi and will help to the maximum the training of the Hellenic armed forces, as well as the US ones, strengthening at the same time even more, the ties of the two countries and increasing the interoperability between the various units that will take part, especially in this strange, tense time we live in.
