Inside the Thames Tideway Tunnel

The Thames super sewer has cost almost £4bn and it's designed to clean up the river from raw sewage and rain water. Our Environment Correspondent Tom Edwards has been finding out how the project's going.

Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?

What about all the waste sewage from the millions of houses . Where does that go. ?

Nice that the taxpayer has to fund this problem which has existed since London began?
