Space scientists are always intrigued by the vastness of our universe. A group of astronomers recently discovered something mysterious and interesting. They were successful in characterizing the atmospheric and environmental conditions prevalent on a distant exoplanet. Space experts believe that the exoplanet K2-141b, which is hundreds of light-years away from earth, has hell-like conditions. The exoplanet’s surface, ocean, and atmosphere are all made up of rocks. The temperature on this planet is approximately 5,400 degrees Fahrenheit. At this extreme temperature, rocks not only melt but also vaporize. This exoplanet therefore gets rocky rains and its surface is made up of extremely hot molten lava oceans. Planet earth is so much better, isn’t it? Subscribe to Videonium for more such videos.
