The Catholic Church is the Church established by Jesus Christ.

Eastern Orthodoxy is schismatic.

St. Padre Pio, pray for us weak and weary sinners

Bishop Mari - St (Padre) Pio is real, very, very real. I don't have a wide social circle, and within my small circle (or maybe all these are true believers), I know of 5 supernatural encounters with Padre Pio. 3 were the 'celestial perfume' and no hallucination, broad daylight, surrounded by crowds, no wind, no flowers, no one wearing or spraying perfume. Only the intended person, and in response to intense prayer. The 4th case was a vision, not dream, broad daylight, surrounded by people. Padre Pio's just appeared, only to that person. The 5th case was a vivid dream to a young man, who later joined the priesthood.
Saints bring us closer to God, and sometimes are the 'nudge' or 'prod' that we need.

Padre Pio was restricted for around 12 years, not 50 years. Also Padre Puo did not leave the Church.
