So this game is what the Avengers should have been? A single player story driven action adventure with a well written plot, good dialogue and character interactions and good combat and without crappy loot or microtransations? Good, I might actually buy this one.

Wow, just wow, I was expecting something just a teensy bit better than average, not something deserving this much praise. One always hopes of course but this is a very pleasant surprise.

It's nice to see a AAA game like this be okay with being on the shorter side. 12 hours seems totally right.

I'm actually gonna pick this one up. I find myself saying, "I like shorter games" a lot recently. And thats still true to a point. But I think the word i'm looking for really is "Focused". I really like focused games. Huge games with a million side quests leave me feeling tired and overwhelmed by the amount of stuff I feel like I *have* to do. It starts to feel like a chore.

But with shorter, more focused games, like this one, I never feel that way. And therefore am more likely to keep playing and actually finish the game.

Between your description, the Jedi Fallen Order looks, and the Ratchet and Clank feel, I'm actually kinda hyped for this game now, and I really didn't expect to be, especially after that Avengers crapfest.

Ok great to hear, I was dismissive of this, thinking it'll be another Avengers situation but they seem to have made the smart call and scratch the Mass Effect itch.

Good to hear that this is good, I am almost tempted to preorder but I'll work on my backlog and buy it after more reviews come out. Still it does look fun and I need a much more linear story...I am tired of open world's generally.

I've seen two reviews so far and the writing seems to be one of the things that's getting praised. I'm so glad that my initial impressions from "e3" where wrong. Thank goodness someone's still making proper video games without monetization.

What i find odd about this game is that Quill, Groot & Rocket look like their MCU counterparts but Drax & Gamora don't. I can understand looking like the comics version but the inconsistency bugs me.

I never listen to personal reviews because I like giving it first hand feel. But I like watching them after, I'm on chapter 2 and I'm loving it. I know some people aren't a fan of just playing as Star Lord but it works so well in my opinion

Bit pricey for a 12 hour game, but I'll take one hell of a 12 hr adventure over a grindy bloated 60 hr slog fest any day. And to get a shining gold star from one of the toughest reviewers ever, it's already bought! 👍

Great review, and I'm happy a Marvel and AAA gaming can learn something after the debacle that was Marvel Avengers.
