Nice Lee! Here you have another example of why Canon´s science color has more red saturation. If you take a look at minute 14:52 and many more reflections zoomed in you´ll see more CA or fringing at Z6 II than R6. That´s to compensate the CA of Canon´s lenses + in camera corrections. Now if you test one on one results between native Sony, Z, and RF you´ll see much more detailed files from Sony or Z than RF lenses. Just as an example the Z50mm 1.8 is twice or even more sharper at 1.8 than Sigma Art 50mm 1.4 at F5.6. And that ART lens is sharper than any Canon fifty.
Lenses + sensors + processors= image quality great on 4K monitors and going.

So glad to see you did this review when I searched for it. You do the best comparisons.

I have a Nikon D80 and D300 from what feels like centuries ago. I'm looking to upgrade to the Z6ii, but am I the only one who actually likes the warm hues of the Canon? I'm honesty confused, because I don't know what the scenes looked like IRL, and I wouldn't want a picture that looks very different, but my eyes just prefer the warmth. I'm sure this is something I can adjust in the Nikon though? Am I just crazy?

Z6II has a more accurate color, but a bit more over-sharpening which generate more noise. R6 has Canon's infamous yellowish tint (so obvious), but more natural sharpness. This actually make the objects in R6 more 3D pop (or called plasticity?).

I prefer the Nikon colours they are just more accurate - I know the 'The Bite Shot' used to shoot canon for years until she borrowed aZ6II - and found she could get her colour on food shots more accurate and she had less post to do. It depends what you like I suppose.

In my opionion Nikon is the winner by far.

That's why I use nikon until today . The color are more natural than Canon without the need to shoot in raw. I most shoot in .jpg with my nikons, since D300

These comparisons are extremely helpful, thanks a lot

Hmm who else de-noises their raw files? Sony. Think “star eater” where the de-noising actually ruined a promising system for astrophotographers.

Love the format: Conclusion with some explanation at the start, "facts" for the rest of the video. I would have liked some commentary on the images, but tbh I don't watch that part anyway :D

The Nikon definitely has better dynamic range.

Wonder how much difference would be seen in Z7 due to antialias filter being gone. Are you going to do a Z7 test?

Keep in mind that the R6 has the same image sensor as 1DXlll! That means that the Z6ll, a 1, 900 EUR camera, has more accurate colors and better image quality than 1DXlll, a 6, 000 EUR camera!

the big difference between this two cameras are autofocus, .

if your into sports and wildlife photography, . or auto mobile photography, . Canon R6 blows away Nikon Z6ii like dust, . Z6ii autofocus is unreliable, also very slow, .

Z6ii will be great camera for Events & Wedding, . But too slow for fast and moving, . from what i can see, . Nikon Z6ii has BSI sensor, . which should be much better in low light, . also it has higher mega pixel, .

But from what i can see, . there's no advantage at all in image quality even Z6ii is BSI sensor and has more mega pixels, . Only Dynamic Range, . but if you properly exposed your subject, . dynamic range will not be a problem, .

but the auto focus unreliability is a BIG PROBLEM that you can never be solved, .
