That was a frustrating ending. Why did the writer choose to have the girl, who had been abused by her husband, end up with him at the conclusion? He ran away during the wedding ceremony, prevented her from seeing her mother before she passed away, physically abused her, and even allowed kidnappers to push her into the river, nearly drowning her. It makes no sense that she would marry her abuser in the end. That was an absurd ending.
