2020 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk 4x4 Review - All Things Fadra

Here's where I take a look at the 2020 Jeep Renegade and because it's a Trailhawk, I take it OFF ROAD!

Just kidding. But I do take it on some underdeveloped roads where it was definitely in its element. Watch my video review for a complete tour of the inside, outside, under the hood, and how to get the MySky roof panels off and BACK ON!

Great review. MSRP on these is nuts. My '19 Renegade Trailhawk was $22, 900 new on the lot (Sticker was $33, 700). You just need to wait for the right time, $8000 in rebates & a $2800 dealer discount on a year end closeout for me. MySky panels just seems like a water or air leak (or other issues) waiting to happen, so i skipped them. Unless you feel you need them, the fewer electronic systems the better IMO...so mine has the LED Light Package (highly recommend), trailer hitch (don't skip this option, the aftermarket ones are horrible) and heated cloth seats & steering wheel (I'm in a very cold climate) At $22, 900 they become a decent buy, and you offset a lot of the depreciation that these will inevitably experience.

Very capable in snow & off road, very unique design and super easy to run around town in them. (Great Job Fadra!)

I love the way the Renegade looks, it has so much character and seems very practical. I work around used cars so I get to drive 2015-2018 models at least twice a week and they all seem to age horribly. Past 30-40k miles they start to shake and feel like a car with 100k+ miles. Lots of badly fit panels that creak and pop while driving. The cruise control doesn’t properly adjust to going up and down hills so you end up pissing off other drivers because you don’t keep a constant speed. The exterior decals get destroyed by the sun after 1-2 years.
Hopefully they’re starting to work out the issues

Another great review !! ... although I must confess this vehicle doesn't do it for me. Within this category I prefer the Jeep Compass Trailhawk edition ... it has a nicer design (which kinda reminds me of a mini Grand Cherokee) and has a much more practical electric panoramic sunroof! (hated those Renegade roof panels...) Thanks Fadra! :)

with the freedom top wrangler, having the roof off I can attach a net-like cover so i dont get bombed with bird shit... i wonder if the renegade has that? if not, i might consider the panoramic roof instead. it's the same price

Thanks for the great review, shame it's a complicated overpriced vehicle with a small engine but in its favour it looks capable for mild off road in

I liked the review. Hated the vehicle. Man those roof panels were a horror show. Could they make it any more difficult? LOL. As for Italian style, I guess you can enjoy it when it's not in the shop. LOL lastly interior was clunky and what's with the red speaker trim only on the front doors???? Really now? LOL

good review overall. although not any review of the 4wd offroad functions that actually makes the trailhawk more unique compared to other trims. just fyi.. that uconnect screen was the 7 inch version, not the 8.4. and too much focus (imo) on the various easter eggs, which are meaningless to the function of the car.

Some People are so smitten with Italian vehicles. There's certain Italian car makes that are exotic. And fiat isn't one of them.
