From George RR Martin's "A Storm of Swords."

If you like what you're hearing, be sure to check out my channel, where you can find all of my A Song of Ice and Fire recorded chapters in order in playlists! And leave a comment! I don't care about any youtube algorithm reach nonsense but I love hearing from people who are listening!

I am in no sense a professional reader, voice actor, or what have you. I began this audiobook project some years ago when some friends of mine jokingly said they'd read A Song of Ice and Fire (my favorite fantasy series) if I personally recorded the whole series in audiobook form and sent it to them. Having now made my way almost through the first two books in the series, I decided to join the small community of people who post their own amateur audibook readings to youtube, and share my efforts.

I have no intention of profiting off of the work that is copyrighted to George RR Martin. This upload is a tribute to a series I deeply love, and I strongly encourage you to purchase these books. You won't regret it.

Also I should give full credit to my cat, Claudio, for the frequent background meows and purring sounds you hear throughout.

The tune for "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" is from the traditional English (I think) Christmas Carol, "The Boar's Head."

This is one of my favorite chapters in the whole series. I hope you enjoy listening!

The southern accent with the Tyrells gives them this "bless your heart" affect which is so on point

Lady Ollana is so fun to listen to especially with the voice you gave her.

I laughed out loud when Lady Olenna said “kiss me child!” And “once you’ve milked the cow, there is no squirting the cream back up the udder, ” in the southern drawl you used 😂 perfect voice for her, it gave this book some delightful new humor.

Appreciate everyone’s patience in this rather long pause between chapters. I’m in the midst of trying to learn how music editing software works so I can have high quality versions of the various songs we’re going to hear in subsequent chapters (something that’s very important to me as I move further on this project), but there’s a lot to learn!

This one and Dany in the house of the undying are the best chapters so far. You really outdid yourself here.

Realizing that Lady Ollana had the song sung loudly so that the Spider wouldnt hear the true contents of their conversation

I love the southern Tyrells, Marjorie as a southern belle and Olena as a curmudgeonly old southern lady is actually perfect. Its refreshing to hear more American accents, Im so used to everyone being some form of British in these novels.

That ugly, iron chair.

Yep. Finally, someone in King's Landing with some sense.

" . . . and somehow he got the notion that this made him fit to be king." 🤣
Then she immediately trash talks both House Baratheon and Targaryan. The QoT truly is a player.

As if she didn't manipulate Renly, the 21-year-old kid, whom, just like Sansa, was entitled, and not yet disillusioned. Renly first tried to get Bobby B to put Cersei aside for Margaery. I'll bet Loras suggested it, during a moment of passion between the two. But who suggested it to him?

Maybe I'm just reading too much into things?

I've just noticed the Tyrell's southern accent works on a couple levels - not only are they from the 'south' of westeros, and also fit the archetype of the family, but there's also their sigil, the Golden/Yellow Rose, for which there is a famous folk tune called 'the Yellow Rose of Texas'

Bravo for making me think about accents this deeply, lol. Keep up the good work

Lol omg this chapter made me laugh so hard. I never imagined the Tyrells with southern accents, but it’s so fitting. Elena was my favorite.
