So we get a ton of questions asking what the difference is between the Polaris Ranger 1000 and the Polaris Ranger XP 1000? We also here folks say, they need something with lots of space but don’t necessarily need a 1000cc machine. Well to be honest, in my opinion, the Ranger 1000 solves that problem. Yes, you’re getting a 1000cc machine….but that doesn’t always mean fast. Sure, it CAN go fast, but what’s important is the torque, space, cargo capacity, and towing capacity. And for those of you who just love the top notch stuff, then the Ranger XP 1000 is the way to go. You get all the horsepower, space, towing capacity, power modes, nicer seats….the whole nine yards. Everything you could possibly want in a Ranger. Both machines are great.

But hopefully this video helps clear things up. The difference between the Ranger 1000 and the Ranger XP 1000. Enjoy the video and the clip at the end where we take a closer look at a Ranger XP 1000 on Polaris’ website and utilize the BUILD tool they have featured on the site as well.

Enjoy!

Best part I like about the XP over the base 1000 is it doesn't pull air in from the sides anymore like the 900's did. All XP pull from the front for cleaner air.

The xp also uses a heavier drive belt along with the better rzr style clutches. It also uses gears for reverse. The standard 1000 don’t use any of that well with the price difference for the xp

Ben, Many many thanks for this DETAILED comparison!! It's outstanding and helped me decide on my upcoming purchase, especially with the April 01, 2022 price increases and additional charges such as Freight/Logistics that increased the price of the Ranger XP 1000 over $2, 000 starting with base models, not including State Tax & License! I have been to several dealerships and was not able to obtain anything close to YOUR comparison. Look forward to additional videos! Not sure if I will pull the trigger on a new Polaris with the increase AND delivery dates!😒

i have a cub cadet cx 500 right now and have been thinking of getting the 1000 premium, non xp, all i need it for is for around the house and plowing snow. and back on a trail behind the house. this should not be too much wider than the old cub cadet for fitting in the garage with the car right? i dont plan on going full xp model since im not using it for trails, and i don't want to go too under powered to the 570, i also want the 1000 since it is the only one to have full hydraulics option for the plow

Had to build a xp premium almost to a Northstar because of the wait times. $$$ wasn't cheap
