Endodontics is also best in dentistry, bds basic salary at 10 k min and max upto 1 lakh but if you own a clinic it cost increases and risk also increases, for mds its starts from 25k to above depends on amount of patients and treatment needs, govt job opportunities is very less, govt dental hospitals are also less, going abroad you need another degree or license to practise, exam fees are very high pg exam fees is 4000 above for entrance, pg seat cost 8 to 13 lakh per year in private

Bds is basically saturated degree..ur like a half doctor, but wont get respect of mbbs docs.If ur like settling in india, then after mds, its a good choice.U can be self employed.Remember the cost of a clinic set up depends on the location, good communication, ur surgical skills etc..If ur intention is to move abroad, then dentistry may not be ur right choice..Its hell lot expensive in continuing studies abroad.Also bds, mds degrees are not directly recognised in any foreign countries except gulf nations, africa.Think twice before joining bds..also chances of getting any govt service jobs are also very low.Its always better to take mbbs degree and pursue career and move onafterwards..(an advice from a dentist)
