Though the Bee Gees have nine of their own No. 1 hits, dozens more in the Top 40, earned five Grammy Awards alone for composing the music for the 1978 film Saturday Night Fever, and sold more than 220 million records worldwide, Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb also wrote hits for other artists, including the theme song to the 1978 film “Grease,” performed by Frankie Valli, “Woman in Love” by Barbra Streisand, “Heartbreak”‘ by Dionne Warwick and “Islands in the Stream” by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton.

the bee gees have 100 top ten hit songs!!! that alone should tell you. Even covers by other artistes went top ten. And since they are the sog writers they have all the credits!! Utterly masters!!

Enjoyed the video. The Bee Gees are one of the best song writing teams of all time if not the best. So versatile and gave us so many great songs in different genres. However I am surprised that you stated that Islands in the Stream was the last duet Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton had. Islands in the Stream was released in '83. In 1985 they released a song called real love. Although it didn't do that well on the charts. And in 2013 they released a song called You Can't Make Old Friends that was inspired buy a son of one of the original members of The Commodores. Written by the same person who wrote The Gambler. If you're a fan of Dolly and Kenny and haven't heard that song it is so poignant especially after Kenny's passing. Thanks again for the video.

They forgot "Heartbreaker" by Dionne Warwick. It's one of my favorite Bee Gees songs by another artist. The Bee Gees do a wonderful version of it too.😮😂😅😊

I knew they wrote these for other artists, they also wrote Emotion for Samantha Sang, and Heartbreaker for Dionne Warwick and you can’t forget Immortality for Celine Dion. Guilty album for Barbra Streisand, songs for Yvonne Elliman, Tavares and others.

Kings of Disco?...the Gibb brothers wrote over a thousand songs in several different genres over their five decade career.Disco...and the SNF sound track, were a very small part of that, certainly not enough to stick them with that label.
