For everyone saying "the song is only cowritten" by Katy Perry... just so you know, she writes 90% of the lyrics and has one or two people help her finalize the song when it comes to word choices and small things. All of her songs are inspired and written by her. It's like saying in "Firework" when she says "baby you're a firework.." they helped her choose "baby you're A firework" instead of "baby you're THE firework." To those who are doubting her songwriting talent, Y’all clearly haven’t seen the lyrics for songs like I’m Still Breathing, Brick By Brick, Playing House, A Cup Of Coffee and actually a lot of songs from her first album like Thinking Of You and Lost...these were written SOLELY by Katy Perry and the lyrics are so heartfelt and pure and incredibly reflective. Y’all just don’t wanna admit that she is a gifted songwriter. Just because she became super mainstream and successful in pop doesnt mean she isn’t an amazing songwriting talent.
