I'd suspect the reason he didn't end up liking this is that he utilizes a certain degree of speaker distortion with the dirty rhythm side that ox box's don't do.

Going direct can work with a clean tone, sounds harsh and brittle with distortion

Was EJ going thru the OX boxes the entire video? Where was the sound coming from in the vid? Speaker cabs or monitors from the OX boxes?
