The first in a series about Tracktion Waveform for beginners. We’ll start with the basics, using only the built-in plugins of Waveform Free to get you up and running as quickly as possible. This is probably the best free DAW on the market. There are a few slightly more advanced features in this video too that are simple to use and well worth exploring.

Finally! A Waveform tutorial on YT by someone other than a soul brother🙏I can't stand listening to soul brothers speak! You, on the other hand, have a nice, peaceful, educated-sounding voice, as do all Europeans✌

This video is translated into Spanish. I live in Argentina and I think Waveform is a kind of blessing for those of us who don't have a powerful PC, but do want to make music. I currently use Mixcraft 9 Pro, but WF12 is much lighter, faster, modern and free. Greetings and thanks a lot.

Just got waveform 12 recently, and a couple of the packs. This video is a good help to someone like me on their first daw.

Hi, fellow Irishman here. Thanks very much for this video. I downloaded Waveform Free recently but have no experience with DAWs and don't really know where to begin. So this is very helpful for me. I've been making music for years but always put off using these tools because of the learning curve.

Thanks for this video. I've had waveform for a while and I like it but I've been struggling to get things done with any kind of flow. I like that you introduced keyboard shortcuts, short loops and takes early on. I look forward to your video on the 4OSC

Good video. I haven't tried waveform for quite a few years but it looks like it's matured well.

Hi Bren. I'm a long term Cubase user and I still use it for mixing/mastering my tunes, but a couple of years ago I dowloaded a free version of waveform 8 and was amazed by how good this DAW is for quick experimentation. I'm now have Waveform 12 pro and It's great for knocking up quick ideas. Cubase is very conservative by comparison.
Keep up the great work.
PS: would it be possible to do a video on how to catalogue, Tag store and find audio and midi loops, one shots, sampler instrument files etc? I have a hard disk full of snare hits, bass loops, stabs, phrases and midi files but I'm having real problem locating them when I need to audition/use them.
Bernie.

Hello sir, I have a small trouble in waveform 12:
I am afraid that I accidentally changed few presets inside of 4OSC plugin and then I saved the changes. Please help me to reset the presets to their initial style.

Hello i was wondering if there was a way to record inputs from effects live like i have Love-Fi 2 and i want to be able to edit and play the “living things” atmospheric noises live and edit the sound throughout the track live without using a midi controller if that makes sense ill try and answer questions also if you want i can stream on discord so i can show you what im talking about

Any idea why ASIO doesn't have any input or output options when I select it? I'm on windows 11.
