ENSO is the major reason why the Indian government bans the export of non-basmati rice which the 80 percent of the total rice export of India, (India is the largest rice exporter of the world with a total export margin of 40%) as we know that during the El Nino, there is imminent danger of drought-like situation in Asia, thus to made fulfillment of consumption of rice in our own country guaranteed government made this decision, further there is a panic outraged in USA, as people there substantially buying more bags of rice than usual!!
