Exterior angle = the sum of its opposite interior angle
127 - 87 = 40

Simple Exterior angle property to save time :
a + 87 = 127
a = 127 - 87
a = 40

Okay fellas hear me out,

The exterior angle of a an angle in the triangle equals the sum of the other angles insides.

Soo 87°+a°=127°

(Subtract 7 from both sides to make it look clean, I like to do this because numbers not division by 5 and 10 piss me off, not neccassry tho)

80°+a°=120°
a= 120°-80°=40°

Actually, we can use the exterior angle of triangles to calculate a.
a+87=127(ext angles of triangles)
a=127-87
a=40

Just subtract 87 from 127 because to interior angles make up the exterior angle so all you’re doing is just inverse operations

Sum of two internal angles is equal to externally opposite angle so 127-87=40

Trick:Knowing 180-c is 127. Then knowing a is (180-c)-b is quicker. You just have to subtract cBar from b!

Instead of this we can use exterior angle property

You have no idea about triangles. yes?
127-87 = a
a= 40°

did anyone notice that the angle a should be where the 53° angle is and vice versa?

My logic was 87+ _3=__0 therefore a=_0

What do you do if there is only the exterior angle given and told to find the rest?
