Thanks for showing, I just started out looking into slingshots myself.
It was considered a illegal weapon here in Belgium, but because a recent change in the law we can own them now

great couple of good tips I use personally, is I start a couple of wraps with the tie on material first, directly to the frame, then lay the bands on top of that, proceed as normal, and I also fold up the tag end as you mentioned and keep I get to where I'm pulling the tag end under the wrap with the string, I always moisten the area a tad so the tag end pulls under the wrap more easily.
