Andrew Tate’s only MMA fight.

According to Sherdog Andrew Tate had 1 professional mixed martial arts bout in 2010, with a single ametuer MMA fight just before that.

With Andrew coming from kickboxing and his opponent coming from boxing, I expected a standup fight.

And both guys came out swinging, but I was surprised to see Andrew perform a head an arm toss to take his opponent down.

He didn’t really do much with it, and didn’t seem to have a good understanding of side control, underhooks and overhooks, so his opponent was able to do a simple underhook escape.

A few moments later, his opponent would catch his kick and attempt to take Andrew down, but Tate would easily defend, stand up and land an overhand right to sleep his opponent.

A pretty solid performance, but I would’ve loved to see him face a grappler in

If you saw him face a grappler you'd see him get ragdolled, that's why lol

An MMA fighter surviving an overhand right is like Shaq making a free throw.

There are people whom lose credibility when you explore their past, and some that gain. Tate always gains. The guy lives and breathes his talk.

In my defence, at the time I was an undefeated Thai boxer and got told I was fighting an American wrestler so practiced nothing else but takedown defence for 3 months and focused on a ridiculous weight cut. 😂 wasn't what I expected at all fighting a kickboxing champ, and I got caught very early on, so was already half knocked out for most of that fight 😂

He's a pretty good fighter. Definitely can back up most of what he says

I'm sure if he was going to take on a Grappler he probably would have studied footage and had his trainer adjust accordingly

I remember seeing that he broke his hand in basically every mma fight he's done and it's a big reason he never tried more fights.

I don’t like Andrew but I respect him for being a boxer

He fought luke barnatt in MMA (I think, and it's basically Luke pulls them both onto the ground, Andrew getting up again)
They went over it on rumble together recently

this is a lesson for all of those mma fighters that believe because someone is a boxer they cant defend on the ground with that mentality you might get seriously surprised.
