Warn 8274 Winch Albright Contactor Conversion! In this video I show a quick and cheap way to get your old warn 8274 winch upgraded and back into service. The old solenoids warn originally used have pretty much worn out over the last 4 decades and it’s time for a better option. This is a great weekend job anyone should be able to tackle with the information in this video. I think an old Willys Jeep or an old Toyota Landcruiser or any old 4x4 always looks better with a Warn 8274 on the front!

Nice alternative to the regular solenoids and looks period. You did a nice job, I just wonder about failure rate? The old system allows replacing individual solenoids when they fail,

I'd recommend the ground go to the battery.
I had the wirering get cooked because of that.

I’m one of the few that doesn’t care for the 8274. I pulled mine off my trailer and replaced with a badland and have zero complaints.

One day, maybe sooner if they demand we buy only electric worse for the environment cars, I will get a CJ and if needed resto mod it into my daily driver. A trip out to a nice warm dry state may be in order though.
