Because I'm currently leveling my Focus schools on PC (ex-PS4 player) I'll give some tips to new people who want to do the same. And it's a bit different than what most content creators suggest. I have a much more reasonable and "real world application" approach to the order in which you unlock the focus schools and their skills \ way-bounds. It's a bit "controversial" but I believe it's more optimal than what you suggested, especially for new and solo players.

1. Zenurik: You want Energizing Dash for your day to day content as it gives you energy regeneration on demand. Once you unlock that move on to the next school immediately.

2. Vazarin: Yes! Vazarin. Not Naramon, not Madurai. Vazarin. Unbind Enduring Tides and Rejuvenating Tides. Before you unbind them play Vazarin as your Focus school in all the hunts. Why the hell would I suggest this next? Well, because you need to be able to stay alive to hunt Eidolons. Even Terry. Until you get most if not all of your way-bounds you'll have to play public Teralys hunts for the Quills rep and the Brilliant Eidolond Shards and you don't want to be that guy dying all the time. If you keep dying your Warframe will keep losing health for every one of your deaths (this is a thing in Warframe) and so someone will need to revive you constantly. And if you don't have those Vazarin way-bounds you'll just die a lot from the Eidolon attacks. This means you'll not be contributing to the damage done to the Eidolon shields. So get tanky before you can do more damage. Trust me, I'm doing this a second time and this time I'm not gonna listen to those YTers telling me to get Madurai and Naramon unlocked first. If you don't have the Zenurik way-bounds Madurai will drain you of your energy super quickly so you'll spend resources building pads and it's just a waste of time as you'll be constantly dying while trying to do any damage to the Eidolon. So that's why you NEED TO GET VAZARIN done ASAP. There is a big difference in gameplay between an Operator with 250 health that can't take more than a few hits from the Eidolon and a 650 health Operator with 4 health per second health regen. Believe me, it's huge.

3. Unairu: Get Basilisk Scales. Get armor, be more tanky. Before you can put on Magus Husk you need to get Basilisk scales done to get any benefit from the arcane. It's only one way-bound, it'll take you about a week or less, depending on how often you do public Eidolon hunts and how often you max out your daily focus standing. Once you do this you can move back to...

4. Zenurik: Now unbind Void Syphon and Void Flow. Now that you can stay alive let's get you more energy for the Operator in preparation for Madurai and Naramon. Dashing around with Naramon and charging Void Blast for Madurai is super energy heavy. Also maybe get Temporal Blast if you plan to farm the Thumpers on the Plains. Maxed Temporal Blast will slow the enemy down by 80% for 15 seconds once you hit them with Void Blast, which means all Warframe bosses, enemies and the Thumpers (Except the Eidolons themselves) will be a piece of cake. It's like a free per-target Nova's 4th ability, but even better.

5. Madurai: Get Void strike and Blazing Dash. Blazing Dash is useful so you don't waste Void Strike stacks while trying to kill Vombalists. Then get Inner Gaze and Eternal Gaze. No need to unbind them as you'll be playing Madurai once you get to hunting serious game (Gerry and Harry). But now when you're short on energy you can be outside of Void mode and shooting the Eidolon shields with your amp without the fear of getting rekt by his attacks.

6. Naramon: Now that you can take and dish out serious damage you can go get that speed boost to your Void dash. Mind Step and Mind Sprint are the least useful of the way-bounds and you can move around quickly enough with your Archwing, but if you really wanna get them done this is the only reasonable time to do it. Do it last.

I hope this makes sense to people and that you don't just dismiss my suggestions before reading the (wall of) text I took the time to write. If you're new, playing Solo and serious about getting into a good Tridolon group this is the best way to get there. It takes time but it's a lot less painful using the way I suggested.

I’m struggling to understand kuvas so I wanted to see if maybe I’d try eidolons instead but after seeing this video I might just stick to leveling weapons and doing event stuff lmao

Update for newbies, you do NOT need naramons void dash once you have your archwing launcher. This is a huge waste of focus, and you'll get ur archwing launcher long before this stage of his suggest focus route. The launcher allows u to use archwing in open world, ie, eidolon hunts. You still will want to get it eventually as it helps you to nto have to swap between launcher and void form and allows you to simply dash out of the big aoe from the eidolon, but it is NOT a requirement for getting around the map is the main point suggested here in this vid. Keep in mind the upload date of a guide when reviewing info, otherwise, this video is still very relevant

So basically, to farm focus efficiently, you need to have all the focus unlocked.

"Spend platinum because you are going to be spending platinum regardless." It may take longer to craft to the highest tier but you do not need to spend any platinum what so ever if you are willing to gather everything yourself.

good vid, understood maybe a quarter of it, wish you could put out a video like "Focus for Dummies" or "Focus for Noobs".

Like others are saying, just get regular lenses from Cetus bounties. Use the lens in ESO just to unlock the focus school, and then farm the Eidolons for the shards, and convert them to focus. WAY more focus per time spent, and there's no daily limit on focus converted from shards. Since I started hunting Eidolons I haven't installed one single focus lens.

I remember watching someone else’s focus school guide a bit ago saying how they don’t get why upgrading Void Radiance ends up consuming more energy.

I wish someone had told me to choose zenurik at first, just got a zenurik lens. Very good video, simple, straight to the point, yummy

Thanks for making these. Love this game but it like requires a college class to learn how everything works. I started with Madurai, should've done Zenurik :(

Save your plat. You don't need anything more then a regular old focus lens. If you have a good nuke frame and know how to use it, you can hit the daily focus cap very quickly in ESO.

Great guide as always man. Had me laughing at one point as now I finally understand why no one believes im soloing Terry at 4 mo into the game little bit of focus into zen but nothing unbound yet. Unlocked the energy pool node tonight lol.

I ramdonly picked zenurik without knowing what it is for just for operator animation but glad i did. now gonna work on rest of schools thnx again.

Half the information in this is geared towards newbies but there's no way a newbie is gonna have the 160 plat to put a lens on a frame and a weapon in each slot

Thanks because I was confused with the passives

I wish people good enough to solo eidolons would run pubs. Instead pubs are full of other people just as clueless as I am as a broken 3rd / 5th wheel.

Since there are so many questions about which school you should use where here is a quick summary:

MADURAI
Important skills: Void Strike; Void Strike; Void Strike; Void Strike; Void Strike; and also Inner Gaze and Eternal Gaze
Optional...
Important to know: Void Radiance is a skill you have to unlock for Void Strike but Void Radiance needs more energy the higher it's level. I would NOT level it up i have maxed out all my focus Skills but this because you need the energy elsewhere
- used for eidolon hunts
- (Void Strike) Increases your damage for the next 8 attacks (operator and warframe) for 0.12%/second in Voidmode (yes this stacks in endlessity)
- (Inner Gaze; Eternal Gaze) Increase your AMP (operator weapon) !!!Operator and AMP have their own energy bar each!!! energy and energy regeneration by 40% and 60%ZENURIK
Important skills: Energizing Dash; Void Siphon; Void Flow
Optional: Energy Pulse; Temporal Blast
- used in default missions
- (Energizing Dash) provides 5 energy/second for 30 seconds after a voiddash
- (Void Siphon; Void Flow) 90 more energy for your operator + 90% energy regeneration for your operator
- (Temporal Blast) can slow bosses with Voidblast so their weakpoints are easier to hit

NARAMON
Important skills: Affinity Spike; Mind Sprint; Power Spike
Optional: Void Stalker
- used for xp / equi focus farm / heavy attack builds (in case you dont know what these are... you are on youtube there should be a 3 min video for each)
- (Affinity Spike) grants 45% more affinity on melee kills
- (Void Stalker) increases your melee critical chance by 50% after 5 sec in void mode > decreases over 20 secs to 0%
- Mind Sprint) increases void dash velocity (you travel more space in the same time) by 120%
- (Power Spike) lets your melee counter decrease by 5/second instead of depleting completely

UNAIRU
Important skills: Unairu Wisp; Sundering Dash; Basilisk Gaze
Optional: Crippling Dash; Stone Skin
- used for Eidolon Hunt (I personally used it for nothing else but could imagine to use it for endurance runs mainly for survival)
- (Unairu Wisp) when hitting and enemy with your void blastdrops an little wisp which is floating above the floor. When you or a team mate pick it your AMP will deal 100% more damage
- (Basilisk Gaze) Increases your void blast range by 60% and makes it easier to use Unairu Wisp
- (Sundering Dash) decreases the enemys armor by 60% when you dash through him > more dmg to the eidolon limbs
- (Crippling Dash) decreases the enemys damage by 50& when you dash through him > you and eidolon lures wont die that fast
- (Stone Skin) increases your operator and warframe armor by 60 (it may not sound a lot but especially when you play a low armor frame for example Volt. He has 125 Armor which reduces all dmg dealt to his Health (red bar) by 29.4%. With 185 armor you block arround 10% more dmg which makes a huge difference in eidolon hunts bc your trinity has more time to react and heal you when you are low what again saves a lot of time

VARAZIN
Important skills: Enduring Tides; Rejuvenating Tides
Optional: Mending Soul; Protective Dash
- used by everyone who doesnt want to revive his teammates
- (Enduring Tides) > just unbound it < increases your operators health by 150% and you survive one sec longer every time you use your operator in eidolon hunts (just do one tridolon and you will know how much time that is in total)
- (Rejuvenating Tides) heals your operator for 4hp/s comes in handy sometimes
- (Mending soul) press X to revive instandly
- (Protective Dash) Grants immunuty for 4 secs for every allie you dashed through. combined with magus repair (heals warframes by 25% Health/s it's a good save mechanic if your teammate is low

It requires a brilliant eidolon shard to unbind a way bound ability tho
