1994

In this episode, the legendary Houro chases 4490 from Newcastle to Werris Creek and back to Whittingham on wheat trains. The 44 class era was over, and this was a special run before she would go into preservation.
Today she resides at the 'NSW Railway Museum' in Thirlmere, restored in her original Indian Red livery, a regularly used on special tour trains around the state.

Regretfully, I am none too familiar with the North-West line, so location names are a little on the light side. But don't let that detract from the sights and sounds of Australia's must awesome locomotive type. The 'World Series' DL500 ALCo.
The video starts on the short north, possibly around Kotara, before moving on to Hexham, East Maitland, Branxton, Whittingham, and points west.
There are also views of the Werris Creek turntable in use as 4490 is fired up the next morning.
Northbound grain: 4490 48137
Southbound grain: 4490 4896
