As in thé first coming : thé prophet who announced Yeshua was Elijah in His spiritual name and John thé Baptist in His human name. Thé two witnesses are Elijah and Moses in their spiritual names, but will have human names and are born in thé flesh. But they are holy, they Can stand UP in thé présence of thé Lord. They are mighty prophèts who tells thé truth of thé Gospel of Yeshua. That is why they are olive trees ( they are anointed and give oil to thé World) and candle sticks because they bring thé light of God in thé Darkness of thé Endtimes. And they will bé thé only ones that remain against thé Antéchrist.

This has been the best teaching I have ever heard concerning the two witnesses. My thot was if they were mot Enoch, and Elijah, then it had to be the churches both Jewish saved, and the Gentile church. But when Christ told his disciples concerning Elijah had already come thru John the Baptist, it always caused a concern for me that I could not find an answer to. I never considered Moses because the Bible said that he did die, and God himself buried him.
But goimg thru the verses you brought forth, I missed what Zecharia had wrote. Then everything stared to come thru croition. I have studied into prophecy many many years. And in my studies I found that the rapture was not going to be a silent, secret thing before the Tribulation, and I found that Satan will have his war against the saints, during the last 3 1/2 years. the saints are us the church. right after I found that, I came across Endtime, with Irvin Baxter, and he was teaching on that very same thing! and then I knew God had confirmed for me the answers I came to realize to be true.
Before I found that, I was a hard Pre-trib rapture believer. But God opened my eyes and understanding, and I know that pretrib, is a myth!!! And I came to study hard on the subject more and found where that doctrine originated, and then I knew for sure that pretib, is a false doctrine. A doctrine of devils if you want to call it that.
But tonite, the one thing I was missing, finally came to me thru your teaching. Now my studies on the book of Revelation, and the end times are now almost complete. I still have problems with the 144, 000, but thats all I need now to find concerning. then I can begin to teach others the truth, concerning the last days, and when we go home. Rev 11:4  These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. 

Is the verse above about two men made of wood and metal, or are they symbolic of something else?

In the verse below Christ said the word "candlesticks" is a symbol of the "churches" in the Book of Revelation.

Rev 1:20  The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. 

In the verse below Paul used the two olive trees as a symbol of the New Covenant Church of Jesus Christ made up of Israelite believers and Gentile believers grafted together into the same olive tree.

Rom 11:24  For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

I believe Moses’s/ Elijah will possibly be the witness reasons, both after swept away and buried up in Sinai — But both were seen again after death talking to Jesus at the Mount Transfiguration so clearly their not Inactive but are being made as Significant messengers by the Lord for important Task’s and super natural importance! Finally the Lord functions in a Pattern system occasionally!

The symbolism of the two candlesticks and two olive trees are identified in Revelation 1:20 and Ezekiel 37:15-28 as representing two angelic messengers of two Israeli Assemblies aka Churches, one from Judah and the other from Ephraim, who represents the gentile nations from where they were scattered now being brought together as one Olive Tree/Stick in the hands of the Son of Man, Christ. It’s not just the angelic messengers/witnesses that are resurrected, but also the Saints of their Churches of whom the Antichrist makes war with.

I know every one says the antichrist will make a covenant that's how he's revealed. But that is not what it says. It says he will make a covenant. "Then comes one". I think false prophet makes covenant already started, then anti christ shows up at 3 1/2 yrs hes the one who comes. Amplified and American Standard Version its two different persons. If he isn't known till great tribulation 3 1/2 yrs. How is he going to automatically make a covenant with many?

Possibly the two witness are the 144, 000 and the Gentiles, …cause right after that, ….they are caught up to meet the Lord in The air! Same as the church, …who won’t escape persecution! That’s why the scripture tell us, …1 Thessalonians 4:17

Sackcloth and ashes has nothing to do with “being itchy and not good looking.” It’s a symbol of repentance and spiritual mourning, because they’re crying out against Temple sacrifices being offered by people who have rejected the lamb of God! As it’s written, “It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins” (Hebrews 10:42). The witnesses prophesy in the first half of the tribulation (1260 days), the second half is referred as 42 months, which the city will be trodden down by the Gentiles. Revelation 13:5 also says, the beast will rule for 42 months, so it’s consistent with the second half of the tribulation, or great tribulation. The witnesses are most likely Moses and Elijah. Revelation 11:6, “They have power to shut up the heavens so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want, ” which is exactly what Moses and Elijah did in the OT. They also appeared with Christ on the mount of transfiguration, and the Old Testament ends telling us in Malachi 4:4-5 to remember Moses and Elijah would come again. Moses represents the law, and Elijah represents the prophets, so they make the best witnesses against Israel’s false temple worship. Anyone claiming it’s Enoch does so based on two things: he didn’t die, and cherry picking Hebrews 9:27, which is just not sound exegesis. An entire generation of believers who will be taken in the rapture will not die (I Thessalonians 4:16-17), so Hebrews 9:27 is a general rule, but there’s exceptions, and if God can raise up rocks as children of Abraham, He can raise Moses up again, so not he’s not disqualified. Remember Jude 9 tells us Michael disputed with Satan over the body of Moses, so perhaps it’s because God will use Moses again.
