I loved the Montreal commentators reaction to the replay of Subban's slash on Stone. Before the replay the commentator was like "5 minute major for a slash?!" Then they played the replay and the commentator "Okay Stone is coming in

Those commentators trying to defend Subban for choking up on his stick and swinging at a defenseless player with his back turned (hard enough to cut his hand through the glove) were probably the funniest part of this video

Well, you got to be thankful that the broadcasters for the last clip aren't refs.
Apparently hacking at someone like you were attempting to chop down a tree isn't a major penalty.
He moved his hand position on the stick to get a better swing, he swung intending to injure/stop Stone, Stone didn't have the puck.
Why announcers, in any way, shape, or form is that not a major penalty?
