This is hands down the best put together concept video I've seen in a long while. Hats off!

Again he predicted the ipad air two task view. Apple should just hire this guy

Cool concept. I hope they'd allow us to use any apps in tandem and not just the system apps.

Beautiful! An actual concept that could be done in real life. Hats off! Truly amazing and simple!

This concept feature looks like the snap feature from windows 8. It would be cool to see this on iOS devices but it's just copying from windows.

'My dear Sam, you can not always be torn in two: you will have to be one and whole for many years. You have so much to enjoy, and to be, and to do. Your part in this story will go on.'

Guys, this is *the* best quote I could've ever put here. If you can't figure out why, fly, you fools!

(and bravos to the 'real' Sam, your concept looks gorgeous AND usable, no doubt it will come to the iPad, via iOS 8 or jailbreak in iOS 7)

This is just awesome! Thanks for this great concept. And hopefully Apple will really integrate it into iOS 8!

Quite similar to app snap for the Metro apps on Windows 8. Microsoft often teases the iOS for lacking this quite useful feature, so it could be welcome to see this on the iPad.

So cool to see this finally integrated 8 years later.

I just want to make one thing clear after getting annoyed with everyone's wrongly-assuming comments. Apple have not stolen this feature from Windows nor Android. Want to know why? Because in case you haven't noticed, not only does the title of the video have the word "concept" in, meaning simply an idea, it was also created and uploaded by someone who doesn't even work for Apple.

This video is simply an animation created by someone who is a fan of Apple, and wanted to share how his idea of split-screen COULD be implemented into iOS, if they were ever to do so. Which they haven't. Please spend just a few more seconds actually reading the title and description before making a fool of yourself in the comments.

i liked the (+) to add a split screen but i think you shouldnt need a subscreen to scroll through available apps. it should just let you pick from available apps in the same way you switch apps after pressing home twice. so hit home twice, hit +, this reduce available apps showing to those that support multitasking, and pick app to add.

simply beautiful. But hopefully Apple would implement it into the SDK so all apps would be supported for it (including 3rd party)

Excellent! Do you make any software tutorial vids?

I think it should be where you pick up an app on the multitasking screen by holding down on it and you drag it to another app and they mesh together. Then you can move the bar to decide what size they are.

Cool concept and I'd use it a lot but I am thinking that when Apple puts split screen into the iPad it will do its best to set itself apart with the competitors split screen capabilities.

wow!

A new breakthrough in multitasking.

Apple should patent this immediately, unless Samsung had already patented it years ago when they first introduced split screen.

This would be incredible as long as it outperforms what Microsoft and Samsung does. You gotta have seamless animations and a real use for it.

Awesomeconcept, I'm assuming you can re-arrange each window?
