Nobody can destroy a person as their parents. This is so heartbreaking.

This precious woman was so hurt inside. She came into this world and suffered terribly at the hands of others, but she gave us beautiful music from her soul. Thank you Sinéad O’Connor. Rest in Peace sweet woman.

We have to learn not to judge people, she had a terribly difficult life. We never know what demons the other person is fighting with. RIP Sinead

I loved Sinead precisely because she was real and dignified even in her grief. This is what it means to be fiercely human.

An abused child does not stop loving the (abusive) parent, they stop loving themself. Utterly tragic. Sinead you are beautiful, creative, talented, compassionate, tenderhearted and kind. THANKYOU for being raw, honest & vulnerable ♡

To everyone who grew up with toxic abusive parents, the best thing we can do is try to love ourselves, and take care of ourselves. Try to do right for our own children, it helps <3

The saddest part of this is you can see the inner child of Sinead still believing that if she loved her mom hard enough, eventually she would love her back. She speaks of her in such an idealized way ("her passing away was the kindest thing she could do"), it's almost like a child stuck in a land of fairytales. She imagines the day of naturally transitioning and hugging her mother on the other side....not realizing that the abuse her mother showed her was that of someone who in fact did NOT love her. Her mother was very unwell, both toward herself and her children, and I don't believe she even wanted to be a mom. I pray Sinead found comfort and peace....but it sucks that she held on to a yearning for connection with her mother well into her own adult years.

Sobbing. Precious woman. Part of me is so angry Phil used this for views. She was so vulnerable and needed love.

When she says "I can't wait till I can get there naturally and see my Mother again" it hit way different than when I first watched this episode 😭 I hope Sinead and her Mom have made peace in heaven.

Despite her tragic childhood and struggles with depression and other psychological issues, she's made a huge impact on many lives. Her musical talent were one of a kind.
Unfortunately she was misunderstood by many people who couldn't grasp the enormity of her intellect and insight on life. RIP 🙏

"I hate not being able to love her" is such a profound truth for all children of pathologically narcissistic mothers, and is inextricably entwined with the thought, "I hate the fact that my mother doesn't know how to love." Working as a psychotherapist, I've found that grown-up children grieving for a mother 'who never was' (whether or not that mother is alive or dead) is among the most agonising forms of loss with which to come to terms.

I never knew Sinead suffered so much misery.
Heartbreaking.

The fact that she thinks she misses her mother and would give anything to have her again, tells me the little girl in her has never known the love of a good mother. The craving she has is a hole unfulfilled, and has haunted her all of her life. She is the walking epitome of damage. May you finally rest in peace, Sinead, you were not able for this world. Maymyour children find strength now to continue without you. Rest in peace, and sing for the angels tonight.

I'm so sorry she went through child abuse. She literally sang her songs in memory about her personal struggles. Although she did get noticed and loved from strangers, all she really wanted was love from her mother. She never got fully closer to her mom, and sadly, her 17 year old son killed himself. I know we don't know yet the final details of her death, but i'm just saddened that she went through so much. Nothing compares to you, Sinead <3

The biggest crime in the world is when a child is left out from parents love. We are too many out there feeling like she does. 😭💔

Toxic parents leave a trail of destruction that lasts generations. Have the courage to say "I am not equipped to be a good parent, so I am going to let the pain finish in my generation". This is the kindest thing you can do for the world.

Can we all please just give a virtual hug and let her R.I.P.? May she find her peace in her time of rest!😢
