An officer with the Haines City Police Department has resigned after he was arrested for repeatedly shoplifting hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise from the Walmart in Mulberry, an arrest report explains.

David Griffin, 48, was at the store with Shelbi Dubose, 28, on Saturday, Dec. 9. An employee reportedly noticed Griffin was putting items in Walmart bags without scanning them at the checkout.

in the video, they said he got away with it 4x prior... you think that would have been his cue to stop or never return to that store for the next 3 or 4 months. These people don't realize that they're on Camera and he stole a lot. This is the problem with serial robbers and theives. They believe if they get away with it once, then they will keep getting away with it.... eventually you will be caught!

It's a horrible violation of the public trust when a LEO breaks the law!

What they don’t realize, is that once a person gets caught once doing this, the computer cannot string together every time they have done it in the past in literally 2 minutes.

Using debit card while doing smthg illegal. Not very smart. Take advantage of cash while still around.
