The biggest benefit to a government pension for most is the paid healthcare associated with the pension. Majority of my co-workers that didn't have a pension from previous work weren't even thinking about retiring. Even though they had very good portfolios they couldn't weather the cost of health care. How can i do beyyer?

Recently, I've been pondering retirement, unsure if my 401(k) and IRA will provide a stable future. I've also put $800K into the stock market, encountering fluctuations with limited gains. i need an approach that will align with my risk tolerance and financial goals

Great video, I've been interested in investing ever since I came across articles of people making up to $150, 000 and more in this period, thanks for the video but is it really possible for a retail investor to achieve this in months?

51 years old. I have $295, 588.25 in my Fidelity retirement account. I cranked my contributions up to 35% and I do all the investing on my own. Fidelity just holds my ETFs/stocks. I made that change earlier this year. I'm hoping to end the rat race by 60 but it's looking more like 63-ish. I want to have $1.5M and bring in about $60k in dividends each year. Pedal to the floor! Thanks for the video. Great content.

This video helped me realize the hard work I tried to set forth early on! I just turned 35 and have $134K in my 403(b) and 40K in my Roth IRA. I will be paying my mortgage off next spring. I currently contribute 25% into my 403(b) and have never done less than 15% in my 12 years working full time. I don't make crazy money either. Have never earned more than 100K in a year. Compound interest is such an amazing tool.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.

A little pricey, but as long as it's going to 5X I'm down, reading about people that already made up to $800k this year alone has widened my mental lens and I could really use some advice on how to earn from the stock market, I'm open to ideas.

I’m 42 and have 370K saved up in my 401k. I’ve been maxing out the IRS limit for about 4-5 years now so I cannot increase my contributions unless the IRS increases the annual maximum. Between my husband and I our net worth currently is about 1.8 million. We both started with nothing but by saving early and always living below our means we’re looking at retiring at 60 and having a big enough retirement portfolio where we only have to draw about 3% while letting our principal grow even during retirement. We don’t have vacation homes or toys but I do love to travel so we’re able to do it more now that our house is almost paid off. We don’t have any other debt either. Financial freedom is worth much more to me than huge house, diamonds and luxury cars.

You’ve been pumping out really great videos recently.

I’m behind as far as 401k for my age bracket (25-34) but I’m ahead by almost double if you count my taxable account.

I have 102k in retirement at 24 years old.

Total net worth is 140k, and that includes my 20k in student loans.

57k in a 401k
38k in Roth and Rollover IRA
7k in an HSA

Im approaching 40 (39 this year) and I'm only at about the 1.2X mark. I wish I had learned all of this earlier in life. Young people, take advantage of your youth and start early.

A Financial Planner told me Saving at least 15% of your income in a 401(k) can help ensure that you have enough money to retire comfortably. How can one take advantage of compound interest and potentially grow your retirement savings/net-worth to about $3M over time?

Its crazy how much the compounding interest really picks up during your later years (when you have more saved up). I wish I started earlier

Life can be unfair sometimes. There are so many things out of your control. But always remember, the grass is greener where you water it and you can still do your best in your current situation.

I think it depends on how much you spend within your means as well. My mother had about 500k in retirement savings and she wasn't a big spender. With Social Security and an additional pension payment, she was able to sustain herself without touching principal. Of course, it always helps to have more saved up with inflation nowadays

I’m 53 and started contributing to a 401k in my mid 20s. I’ve always maxed out. I have about 1.7mil and about $500k equity in my home. Hoping to retire by 62.

I find it criminal that the public schools do not teach finance better. I'm in my 30's and just learned about the benefits of a Roth IRA. Luckily I have smart people around me and opened one up almost 10 years ago, but was putting only a fraction of what I was contributing to my 401k. Luckily I still have time on my side to get that thing maxed out. Thanks for the video.
