I just made this Saturday night for gifts in my Bible study group on Sunday, and made it again on Sunday night for work the next day. My co-workers swarmed it like a pack of termites on a wooden table! It was gone in seconds! It is absolutely delicious! This will be a new tradition in my household. Happy holidays! 😊

I think also sprinkling Christmas sprinkles on top would ‘pretty them up’ for gift giving.

Years ago, as a grade one teacher, a parent gave me some as a gift. Seriously, IT BLEW ME AWAY, with its deliciousness. I begged her for the recipe. Thank you for reminding me! It is time to make it again.

We call it *Matzoh Brittle* at the synagogue. Caramel, toffee bits, chocolate spread on a big piece of unleavened bread (matzoh). My first rabbi was a champ at making it for Passover (when matzoh is the ONLY bread!). ✡Mazel tov! L'chaim! And Merry Christmas to you all!🌟

This actually a German recipe and you can use Graham crackers and any kind of chips you want. Peanut butter chips are delicious too. I have been making this for about 30 yes and I have 2 different recipes. Thanks for sharing! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I made several batches of this for Christmas. My family loved it however I found that ladling the mixture over the crackers was a lot more helpful in spreading it. Additionally using one more stick of butter and a half cup more of brown sugar and some vanilla Because the cookie sheet is so large. You’ll thank me later.I add pecans to mine but that’s optional

What wasn't mentioned is that you want to use the saltines WITH the salted tops AND, to heighten the taste sensation, (as you start placing those on the pan) place the salted side DOWN on your sheet pan.

I have been making this since my kids were little and my son still requests it every Christmas - he's 16 now. I just made some yesterday! What I love about it is that you can do so much with it - white chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, Andes mint chocolate, nuts, crushed peppermint, etc. My favorite is milk chocolate with crushed pecans on top. It's the BEST!! (fyi if you don't have nonstick spray, you can use parchment paper and it won't stick)

I appreciated how she described each step in great detail including what the caramel should and should not look like during the cooking process.
