In node, the window object is renamed as global. In simpler words, just like in browser there is a window object in which all the global variables reside, in node there is "global" object in which all the global variables reside.

Window is a big object where all our variables and functions are stored as properties and method which we can have a access when we create it.

Just a small remark here:
The sayHello() function works because JavaScript hoists all functions to the top during interpretation/ compilation.
Context has nothing to do with that.
