I run 50/50 urine water in my 97 corolla tires.. helps with cornering and it won't freeze cuz I'm an alcoholic.👍

For all those wondering, yes adding fluid is common practice if extra traction is needed. I'm from northern Canada, so we use Calcium, it tastes like salt water, and dries your hands out terribly. We generally use tubes in the 'tubeless' tires to protect the rims from corrosion. There's a fill adapter that allows you to remove and install the valve insert without disconnecting the fill port. There's a pneumatic operated pump that pumps the calcium in, and sucks it out. When sucking it out, it will literally vacuum the tire in on itself, and sometimes that pulls it off the bead. Generally you don't fill past the top of the rim or even a bit below. We tell the level by tapping on the side of the tire. Where the calcium is it sounds solid, where there's air it sounds hollow.

I pee in my tires in case I’m going to a interview that needs a pee sample. It’s already warm from the ride.

My dealer reminds me to use saltwater, every two years when I go in to buy replacement wheels.

You only fill them 3/4 full so u still have an air cushion and there not hard as a rock

We’ve always done about 1/2 full of freshwater for ours (Texas). We definitely need it. The dirt on our land is so sand-like because we’re on the Brazos river and hogs tear everything up until it’s dust🤦🏻‍♂️For those who don’t know, the water is for traction/added weight!

Water makes a mess of the rims.RV antifreeze works better. Nontoxic and doesn't rust your rims.

My cousins usually fill there’s up with some white powdery stuff. I guess they need the extra weight on the hwy too 😂

I've watched this a few times just for a good real USA accent. And for anyone that's wondering why he puts water in the tires, it's to weigh the unit down for traction, it's also really hard to have a flat tire when it's full of water that can't squeeze thru as small of gaps as just air. It leaks slower you can see it instantly adds traction and rotational mass for towing so your trailer isn't yanking you back.

This is an absolute must on a tractor with a loader too. You can also do this with lawn mower tires if your yard is really hilly for extra traction.

I was unaware tires were ever filled with water

If you use water in wheels..maybe it's better to use it with coolant..to avoid rust and corrosion

Back in the day they would mix calcium to keep the water from freezing, the best way to do it nowadays is Methanol! It's not as hard on the steel wheels and it wont freeze if its mixed just right. As for how your doing it sir... I believe you may have problems this winter. Oh and you should be able to bleed some air off without water spraying out. So that tire is definitely over filled...

Fun fact for anyone out there, you would usually use calcium brine or beet juice, yes, beet juice, giant 50 drums of beet juice.

I'm from the northwest and we use beet juice mixed with water. Doesn't freeze.

I don't think we ever went past 1/3 or maybe 1/2. And my did tires for 20 years. He told me never to go past 1/2. One reason was center of gravity.
