President Biden spoke about debt ceiling negotiations Tuesday after meeting with House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell at the White House. Mr. Biden called the meeting "productive" but said he wouldn't approve "massive" spending cuts, and didn't rule out the possibility of a short-term debt limit increase.

President Biden does not have many of the traits of "old people." He stands up straight, walks upright, is not bent over "from old age, " like my younger sister already is. He does not even wear glasses, as I do (maybe contacts, I don't know). Today, I saw him on TV. He held the mic in his right hand; he does not have tremors, as I do. To be sure, he read most (not all) of his remarks, but he read them very well. The ads on TV now, about his Presidency, are very good...and truthful. I believe he is headed for a second term.
