I bought a set of Karmin's cordless clippers which came zero gapped with a fade blade. They have all the same features as the JRL 1040. They cut excellent with minimal effort. I gave myself a really clean drop fade using only these clippers all the way through and used Eunon trimmers for a really crisp edge.

I absolutely agree with everything you said. I like these clippers but 9out of 10 I'm grabbing my cordless Seniors because of the bigger teeth and the ability to cut dry and wet hair. The JRL are more powerful rpm wise but the teeth are smaller. But I love to challenge myself and change it up to keep it interesting today I Fade down up tomorrow I Fade up down the following clipper over comb majority of the cut and so on. Challenging ourselves brings the best out of us and shows in our craft. Always stay open minded and always be willing to try new things.

No, you don't have to hesitate, Mr. Bossio! When you close modified clipper blade, they zero gap. If you have 1/25", they close to zero. Thank you for your youtube video^^!!!

Oster Octane are super fire. Don’t take down bulk with anything else. JRL got that premium beep like a bmw.

I'm completely with you. It's ok staying with the same thing for 20 years, but like you said, they could be something out there that shaves a few seconds off your cuts, or helps you fade batter. Why wouldn't you buy that product. I started with Wahl, then Babyliss (corded), back to Wahl, Andis, then wahl cordless and now my personal faves, my FX cordless. Man I love those joints! We get the charging dock in the UK, so get the drop and go benifits of the JRL.
