My lucky streak continues somehow, and I am incredibly happy that it did. This level could have been incredibly painful. I fluked this from 83%, and it was my only death past the ship at 76%, and overall, I had a way better experience than I expected. It was far from what happened on Yatagarasu, but I can’t ask for that with every level. This ended up taking 6 days, and that is the total amount, as I didn’t have any practice from a long time ago like I did with Yata. Honestly, I am somewhat surprised with myself for that.

Anyway, now for the level… yeah, it is a doozy, to say the least. There are a lot of parts that I found really inconsistent or awkward, but since I had a good experience, I’ll only complain about what I minded the most. Overall, my least favorite part of the level was probably 17-32%. Pretty much nothing here got perfectly consistent, especially the pink orb parts from 23-26%, and I of course had plenty of deaths at the straight fly at 30%, which has an invisible platform that… honestly just makes it more annoying. This part honestly just made the level a bit of a slog from zero, and I got pretty bored while playing most of the time.

39-100% is much better, and specifically 39-61% was way better than I expected it to be when I first started practicing the level. It isn’t exactly perfect, though. Some clicks that I didn’t really like were the 43% blue orb, the 45% pink orb, and the 60% blue orb, along with a multitude of clicks from 52-57%. 43% and 45% never got consistent from zero, while the clicks in the memory cube were thankfully only a major problem in practice. I guess the last part I don’t really like is the part from 70-76%. It got decently consistent, it was just… really weird and awkward to play. The 70% ship movements never felt natural, and the wave spam into the 76% ship transition was also incredibly weird-feeling for me. Other than that, 61-100% is definitely the best part of the level.

Overall, this level’s gameplay is pretty good, outside of those parts. I really like the flow of this level (especially in the 77-100% section) and the parts that were satisfying to play were incredibly fun, counteracting the more awkward parts. I definitely think I would have had a lot less fun with it were it not for my luck, though. This level was saved by that. Finally, the decoration and song are sort of like Yatagarasu for me, I mainly just appreciate them for how well they fit the level. I don’t think I like this level quite as much as Yata, though, in the end.

Overall, I am not sure if I would recommend this level, mainly because I feel like my enjoyment was carried by how lucky I got with it. I guess if you’re good at the beginning section, it may be fun for you, but as for me? Eh. The best reason to play this level, in my opinion, is to complete the RGB trilogy, and that is pretty much what motivated me.

I am gonna be honest when I say that this level intimidated me quite a lot going into it, as it just isn’t what I am good at in this game at all. I mainly play XXL levels where most of the difficulty comes from wave and ship, this is a minute-long level that focuses on timings. So, honestly, my opinion on this level probably doesn’t hold much weight.

Speaking of completing the RGB trilogy, this now puts me at 2/3 of the way through beating it, and, well… I guess I should follow through with what planned last year. Completing all three of them in a row. Gulp.

Have a good day, and… see you when Sonic Wave is, hopefully, finished.

Enjoyment Rating: 73/100
Personal Demon Rating: 5/5 (Extreme)
Attempts: 16,487
List Placement: 95 (I think it is probably fine where it is, I don’t really know how to judge it since it is so far from my skillset)
