Comparison Review: Altra Vanish Tempo to Altra Rivera 2

Great comparison! I hit the ground at the exact same place as you and my rivera 2s got shaved down outsole on the outer edge almost instantly. They should use some other material. So far it is just on the outer edge though. Otherwise it is a great shoe. Make a video on carbon VS tempo 👊😀🙏

Excellent review, I had the Rivera 1. It was quite terrible. First it fit really small and I had to size up twice, then running on gravel the midsole is so soft the stones would hurt my feet, also going down ⬇️ hill I would bottom out and feels like I hit the road barefoot in the heels. last problem was that running on the road the outsole wear down very fast. The new foam in the Tempo could be the solution ❓..

I am interested more in the Rivera 😇 as I don't like the huge stack on the Tempo.

So I'm USA 11 like you but with some shoes like Asics I'm 11.5.... do you find these for yourself USA11 that they are comparable with other sneakers you have because some reviews say that with Altra you need to go up half a size, so I'm wondering if I should order what is your opinion bro?

I have about 5 miles in my tempos and I found the foam to be a bit firmer than a lot of the reviews are saying. Does it take more miles to break in a bit and get softer?

Is the Rivera 2 true-to-size for most people? I definitely had to go up 1/2 size in the Rivera 1, even compared to other Altra models (Provision, Torin, and Paradigm).

There is nothing that justifies asking price 190 usd for daily trainer... that's just absurd imo. 100% That foam that they use isn't not that exclusive or anything special for their asking price. Braned new pebax shoes can be found under 90 usd in Asian countries as example, that just shows that how overpriced that Vanish tempo is.
