With all that blue, you could totally deck that thing out with a Sonic The Hedgehog theme.

I've been using a Brook adapter with X360/One/Series X. I couldn't get it to work at first but I plugged the 2.4ghz adapter into the Brook adapter and switched the stick to X-Input/2.4ghz modes and it works perfectly.

I actually tried to add my new Seimitsu Bullet Nobi lever to this today and it was too thick to fit inside. I'm a little bummed because that lever feels so damn nice! Way better than any stock Sanwa I've used. It has shorter throw, more tactile clicks (but not louder), and a non-rotating shaft, which I like a lot for fighting games.

I recently nodded mine too with Sanwa buttons and Stick. 2lb spring, Octo gate with bat top. Plays like a dream now.

I was thinking of modding mine but I was chicken 🐔. Now that I see how easy it is I think I might. Thank you. I do wish it worked with my series x.

Oh nice dude, I'm doing something very similar! Going full custom parts, but, pretty much all Sanwa! I didn't know it was wireless though thats pretty slick! Dude, that detachable joystick is so SICK! WTF :O

I've been playing Street Fighter since the first one was new and I own a SFIV pro arcade stick which is normally my favorite fightstick but my stock 8BitDo fightstick is by far my best fightstick for pulling off any moves in fight games. I was shocked when I first tried. I won't even mod it cause it's perfect as is for me.

I'm looking at this years later after it came out just owning it and are keen on modding this a shot regardless if it's going to be competitive or not! i'll try regardless haha

You are correct with the pronunciation. Their Chinese name (which obviously came first) has the same last kanji character as Nintendo, and they are definitely trying to mimic the Nintendo name.

Have the Mayflash and bought a bunch of parts to mod it but haven't done it. I kinda want this because it's wireless.

I think this stick would be fine for professional use but the problem is it's not heavy enough. So when I'm in a grab or dazed or something the stick actually comes off the table and is like smacking against the table up and down while i'm shaking the stick to get out of the hold. I've never had that happen before.. Also the stick that comes with it seems to fail a lot of times performing the inputs for special moves..

like I know my hand motions and I have the muscle memory burned into my muscles.. The stick this comes with kind of sucks.. I dunno what it is about it. I think I'm gonna replace it with a Sanwa stick, coz the Razer Panthera I used to have (so great that Razer replaced it with some weird ass arcade stick that doesn't have a joystick).. But I want to use Happ buttons coz I'm from the US and we never had the Sanwa buttons here.. They're not bad but I want the authentic arcade experience.

I think that it definitely needs to be heavier.

Thanks for the video bud! Any chance you would share the links to those buttons and the stick? There are so many variants and I'm not as familiar with sanwa as I am with some others. Thumbs up as always!

I dont understand what you did with the wire cutters right before you plugged in the joystick.

for some reason i was under the impression a simple swap out like this required soldering. good to know that it’s literally just plug and play.

I've been using this on a consolized MVS and it works without any setting up.

when you push your new lever to any direction, does it have extra travel after you hear the click? cause that's killing me on the OG lever of the 8BitDo (mainly the reason why professionals don't use this stick)
