Deadpool & Wolverine is a 2024 American superhero film based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Deadpool and Wolverine, produced by Marvel Studios, Maximum Effort, and 21 Laps Entertainment, and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). The film is directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay he wrote with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Reynolds and Hugh Jackman star as Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively, alongside Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Aaron Stanford, and Matthew Macfadyen in supporting roles. In the film, Deadpool is pulled from his quiet life by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and he partners with a reluctant Wolverine on a journey to save his universe.

After The Marvels, I recall the apologists claiming movie theaters are dead.

People underestimate the love Wolverine and X-men in general. I’m not big on Deadpool. But this move was definitely a love letter to the fans. When the cameos came out. I literally haven’t felt that in movie in a very long time time. Also I’m sure a lot of people will rewatch it to get the audience reactions.

I just saw the movie today during after lunch hours and there was a whole lot of elderly people and elderly couples watching Deadpool. After the movie ended, one old lady with her cane walked by my seat as she was heading down the stairs very slowly towards the exit, she said...."back in my day movies were 10 cents and I'm 83 years old!"..

I really enjoyed this a lot. Especially the cameos in this movie was pretty damn awesome. Too see blade, Elektra, X-23, Pyro, and Sabertooth let alone Toad and a few others and to finally see Cassandra Nova in live action and not just in comic book form was awesome and I almost forgot that we finally got to see Channing Tatum become Gambit which was definitely one of the best highlights of the movie

Back in 2017 a Capcom dev working on MvC:I said this absurd statement

"Your modern Marvel fan, maybe they don't even remember some of the X-Men characters, but they know some of the Guardians characters or Black Panther."

He had the nerve to say that after Logan just released to critical and commercial success

Fast forward to 2024 and now this film that celebrates X-Men in their non-MCU tainted glory is on track to outgross Black Panther 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

Just goes to show no matter what Disney tries to get people to believe, the love for X-Men will never die.
