A Terrible Prophecy - The Finale! | Norland - Part 9 (Crusader Kings Meets Rimworld - Early Access)

Norland continues and also concludes, but not before we receive a message from the Church telling us of a most terrible prophecy... a mysterious and unseen moon will cause many fleshwolves to go mad and attack us!

Of course we try our best to prepare for this animal onslaught but it seems the wolves are thinking of attacking whilst Betty and the army are out assisting a new friend...

By making CupboardVale more appealing we're able to help Bernard reach his population goal, but then of course he sets out a new goal which might be a little out of reach.

To expand our empire a bit more we send a Noble away to the unclaimed territory to the North West to set up a new realm!

There's also quite a lot of reading, a fair amount of trading (although we get paid properly for it this time) and also a spot of poisoning to try to stop Moonrealm's relentless expansion.

However we do also bring our tale to a close, at a particularly dramatic point I might add! It's been fun but I think now the time is right to say farewell to Bernard, Betty, Jeff, Safa, Udelka and the two kids. Cheerio CupboardVale and farewell Norland, it's been a blast!

The Empire has fallen, leaving in its place multiple successor kingdoms. The lords and ladies of these petty kingdoms squabble for control and influence – whether with cloak and dagger or sword and shield, families feud amongst themselves and against each other as greater threats cast a shadow across the land. Famines wreak havoc on the lives of the peasantry, warfare and disunity threaten the social order, noble families fall to decadence and hedonism, and beyond the borders of the old Empire, great armies of pillage and destruction form under the banners of invader-kings.

In these uncertain times, you must lead your small kingdom to greatness – and the members of your noble family to survival – in this medieval colony sim focussed on generating stories of great valor and vile treachery.

The common folk of Norland are the backbone of any kingdom, serving their noble lords on the battlefield and around the city with deference and loyalty… until their bellies become empty or the beer runs dry. With different backgrounds, needs, and thoughts of their own, the peasants are difficult to please and easily manipulated into rebellion, crime, and controversy – will you address their complaints as a benevolent lord or answer them with the executioner’s ax?

Norland is set in a rich world with a vibrant past – its inhabitants form a tapestry of different cultural backgrounds with checkered relations, and the power vacuum left in the wake of the Empire’s collapse has given rise to uncertain times. In the distance, an Unholy Horde grows ever stronger, pillaging and burning all in its path, while elsewhere the Church of Saint Sophia uses faith to maintain an iron grip on vast resources.

Through a multitude of scenarios to choose from and a plethora of options that define your nobles and the world around you, Norland allows you to build a society and tell a unique story of any kind – warmongers with penal legions fighting for their freedom, highly educated religious zealots trying to spread the faith, wealthy multicultural idealists hoarding tomes of knowledge, treacherous spymasters plotting assassination and intrigue… what tale will you tell?

Big B's Big Nest is the name we've all been missing in Big Ambitions.

I feel like this is the ending is perfect. LOL Gosh it was a real race between settling the new place and the wolf attack! It was the epicness many movies fail to capture!

Honestly though, yeah the game still needs work with the fiddly bits especially. A LOT of potential and good is here but there were more than a few observable shortcomings. Saying that, omgoosh, you did _really good_ with this game. I laughed, I cried, felt tension~ End of the day, it was a lot of wild fun. Keep on Keeping On, Penge, and thank you SO much for doing what you do~! I really did enjoy it~!!

We have to remember that this game is still in early access and hopefully they will sort through all the bugs, its a very affordable game and has lots of potential. I think you missed a bit because you kept playing the game at 3xspeed. I think if you slowed it down to normal you wouldnt have missed so much. I loved your first into to this game and I enjoyed this series. Thanks for all the enjoyment and laughs and see you at the next one :)

I guess the money you got last episode was cursed, and now the flesh wolves came to get them back! :o

The game needs some polishing (and better pop-ups and whatnot), but the economy isn't that bad - when you learn the tricks that is... 1) Instead of reading (expensive) books, you can rewrite them - doesn't take much more time, but transforms your paper into books you can sell. 2) If you employ low-level warriors you can train them without increasing their cost. Also it helps to not hire a gazillion warriors from day 1 (it's like hiring 10 000 troops in CK3 with only one province, that's not going to fly)

Penge, will you have a look into a new game called Motel Manager Simulator? I think you would like it (I certainly would!).
