Here in Europe such cars make sense, but in the US you first need a complete re-design and re-building of your cities before you can fully use its potential: no more highways through the cities; living function back in city centers; de-centralized shopping options; smaller parking spots.

This would be great for the burgeoning senior population as well as for campuses - whether university or corporare. Self driving Eli vehicles for seniors who never learned to drive, or who are restricted due to vision or mobility issues, or have had their keys taken away by frightened family members - imagine finally being able to go to the grocery by oneself after years of restriction!
I think there is an expansive, non niche market for the Eli Zero.

ZIPCAR was brilliant. Hourly rentals. WAY cheaper insurance. Wide choice of cars that suited your particular need at the time. No maintenance costs or parking for the user. Even more brilliant it would be with a selection of EV's.

Transit policy in the USA is a "chicken or egg" game. Do we first adopt neighborhood electric vehicles (NEV) and mass transit, or do we redesign our city planning to accommodate these NEV & mass transit options? The smart answer is to do both at once. Downtown cores, where they exist, should have large "no-car" zones that only allow pedestrian & NEV traffic. Second, most road lanes are far too wide in the US. There is space to install real bike highways simply by narrowing existing road lanes and rethinking medians, sidewalks & easements to incorporate wide bike highways that could also carry vehicles such as Eli.

Very cute car I have ever seen. Hope the chip shortage gets resolved soon. Any plans for two seater compact EV. I suggest you to offer rights to big companies like TATAs in India. All the best Eli.

I wish there top speed was 45-50 because lots of rural roads are min of 35mph. There top is 25mph is going to limit this across America. I like the look but it needs to be faster. Look at Arcimoto, I wish they would put doors on there car. The Arcimoto can go out on the USA highway. has two Hyper-9 motors in it for what 7-10 k price more.
