Goodbye SIVA

Destiny 2 SIVA Return? Likely never. SIVA in Destiny is a fan favorite. In Destiny 1 players loved it hopeful to see it return in Destiny 2. However, recent comments from Bungie Narrative Lead have said SIVA is unlikely to return, with the focus on Lightfall story content.

To be honest siva is held in such high regard that if they made a season on it everyone would most likely hate it because a season can’t match an expansion and that’s what people want with siva.

I’ll hold my breath whenever Bungie says anything about anything “ending” or “not coming back” or even “This is how it is” this has been said about lot of things in destiny.

It’s a wait and see thing or if bungie needs to sell an expansion or get an easy W.

This makes sense lore wise. SIVA has been destroyed after we killed Vosik and Aksis, they were the highest of the Devil Splicers and the last remaining ones who could replicate it after the Replication Chamber is destroyed and now with Aksis and the Perfection Complex shut down, SIVA is practically gone

They also said Gally wouldn't return as well as the Stranger.
I'd take what they say with a grain of salt.

They kinda also have to create a new faction of fallen in game. And it would be a waste to only have them in the Raid, they'd most likely have to make a full season dedicated to SIVA. Maybe Rasputin needs help rebuilding SIVA against the Witness. Only for old caches like the one on Nessus being stolen by the Fallen once opened up for the Gurdians ?

But they could make a story where Exodus Black has a breach. The breach was caused by the Vex and Siva infected the Vex making them move faster and have a different body figure that makes them more flexible, giving a more challenging experience to the player. Heck they could add a new health bar called "armor" basically like division and the armor ( Siva ) breaks off.

If you actually read the article, the guy goes on to say, "So it is a consideration. It's something that's always in the back of our minds. We definitely have people in the studio who want to do things with older elements of Destiny. And whenever we find an opportunity to bring them in that makes sense, we do our best to make sure it happens." So there's still a chance

I hope to see it again. i remember exodus black carrying SIVA caches and there was rumored to be a strike when destiny 2 first released etc. they can do a lot with SIVA

I hope it comes back maybe as a purely story based thing where the vanguard harness it as a tool against the witness, and with wrath of the machine hopefully being the next reprised raid my life would be complete.

I spent the whole season gathering mysterious relics of darkness for a giant space lobster so a gay toaster could make breakfast in bed for his comatose space wizard boyfriend? They said remastered raids are not Canon to the d2 story so what the developer said has zero bearing on which raid will return. It's going to be wrath of the machine nexf . They said they remaster the raids that require the least amount of work to rework first. And wrath is next on the list since Crota needs an entire new redesign to work in the d2 sandbox. Wrath just needs a couple good changes and it's good to go

Siva deserved another expansion, a season wouldn’t have done it justice. Rise of iron definitely left a good amount of loose ends with SIVA, and despite what the narrative director says, I don’t think it ever truly ended with RoI.

Anyone else think it’s funny how in D1 you can patrol the cosmodrome in the plague lands during a siva infested snow storm, then actually patrol the cosmodrome and it’ll be a sunny day with no siva

Even though parts of Lightfall do look cool I hate how in general, Destiny just feels like a marvel movie now. back in Destiny 1, everything about the game from the cinematics to the music, sound design, and art style assisted the game to feel like this eerie futuristic space retro-shooter that really felt like nothing out there. But now everything feels like a marvel movie. Enemy designs aren’t scary, every enemy speaks perfect English, and the new expansion is literally a neon cyberpunk expansion. Like that’s cool, but that’s not Destiny.

I still think the siva infected fallen are a much better enemy type than the scorn.
