Konevets Quartet, 'Moscow Nights,' Serenade! Choral Festival 2014

Chosen as Editor's Pick by The Washington Post in 2013, the Serenade! Festival has become a vital part of the D.C. choral scene and consistently surpasses expectations. Since 2011, the festival has presented choirs from Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Russia, Poland, Colombia, China, Latvia, Indonesia, Czech Republic, Germany, Australia, Cuba, Spain, and Canada. This year, Classical Movements was pleased to present choirs from three countries that have never made an appearance in the festival: the Netherlands, Zimbabwe, and Norway. Several of these choirs are professional and added depth and quality to an impressive lineup of outstanding choirs with a diverse repertoire, ranging from classical to contemporary music.
