My dark horse is also my favourite; Czechia with Kiss Kiss Goodbye

Portugal is also a dark horse. A lovely message with a song that stands out in this year’s line-up. If the staging is majorly elevated I think they can be a dark horse for qualification.

Lithuania is in the best semi possible for them, they have at least 35 points from diaspora. Ireland, UK, Norway, Latvia, Georgia.

Lets not forget that in 2022, a lot of people like almost everyone thought Lithuania could only qualify due to juries, and they ended up just 2 points away from a tele top 3. They have never gotten below 100 points in a semi in this decade.

This shouldnt be a dark horse to qualify.

I completely agree with you but I would also add Azerbaijan! For some reason they give me dark horse vibes

Luxembourg is definitely a dark horse because the playfulness and meaning of the lyrics will be appreciated by many viewers. Not to mention that it is a tribute to an old Eurovision winner, which gives the song additional merit.

Belgium is the hardest to predict of all countries. It could fail to qualify as well as reach the top 5 in the final.

Lithuania is also a guaranteed dark horse. This song has a very commited audience that will mass vote for it, enough to be in the televoting top 10 of the final (which is almost a standard with Lithuania, maybe this year will be even better). That might just be wishful thinking from me, as I secretly hope that Lithuania wins the whole thing against all odds.

Spain as a dark horse? I can't see that happening, sorry. The song lacks character, and Melody is nowhere near as mind-blowing as Chanel was as a performer.

Slovenia might as well surprise us if the staging manages to convey the meaning of the song and affect the viewers emotionally. The lyrics alone won't do that, I'm afraid. And I don't trust Slovenia with staging, as history has shown.

Ukraine isn't a dark horse at all. Everyone knows that they will land very high on the final scoreboard, both because of the diaspora and because Ukraine always elevates their songs ×100 with the staging.

Italy is also guaranteed to get high points from both juries & televoters, as another classy Italian song which the general audience always appreciates, except for the shallow Eurovision fandom that expects every song to be modern & creative.

My potential dark horses:

*Greece:* Many fans consider it a flop, but they wrongly keep in mind the lackluster staging from the national final, as well as the result of the similar Greek entry from 2018. It's been already confirmed many times that the staging will be reworked entirely for Eurovision. If the staging conveys the meaning of the song, we might experience a Jamala moment, just saying.

*Latvia:* There is nothing else like it in the lineup this year. It will either alienate the viewers like Spain 2023 or enchant them and end up like Czechia 2023.

*Cyprus:* The song was written with a Eurovision performance in mind, and the stage director is the one from Ireland last year. It was also set to close the semifinal. I expect big things.

*Portugal:* This is a similar case with Slovenia. The meaning needs to be explained through the visuals. Unlike with Slovenia, I have faith in Portugal as they did the same thing 4 years ago.

*United Kingdom:* Doesn't seem competitive at first look, but I suspect it will be a jury favourite. Great harmonies in a well-produced chart-friendly song with Broadway influences. It could end up like Germany last year.

I, also, believe that Slovenia will do very well, even if I dislike the song.
It just has this... je ne sais quoi.

I disagree. Poland should win. Poland has never won the Eurovision and now they have a really good song “Gaja” by Justyna Steczkowska
