This quote perfectly describes Tenebrae/Vitiate/Valkorion. Dude wanted to be a god, was born with black eyes as a Sith pureblood and was so fearsome that even wild animals would avoid him before his powers manifested. He was borne of the Dark Side, even more than Palps. He would have never turned away from it.

Shouldn't Sidious be considered irredeemable?

Going by Legends, dude was a sociopath from the very start and isn't even capable of feelings such as love. I can't even imagine him ever being redeemed.

Darth Sidious is irredeemable. He was said to be a void or shadow in the Force by those who seen him, and even from an early age he was thought to been devoid of empathy. Some would even go so far to say he *was* The Dark Side incarnate

I love whenever you cover Tenebrae, he's so fascinating and as you said he was briefly able to have a family but in the end it was all for selfish reasons because he had plans to consume their Force Essence, so even when under the slight influence of Valkorion it wasn't enough to erode Tenebrae's desire for more power.

Also I thought you was going to say Darth Nox, the Sith Inquisitor would never let themselves be redeemed.

The "Echoes of Oblivion" Boss fight against Vitiate /Valkorian/Tenebrae felt like an Avengers Endgame event, with every major figure coming in the battle: Revan, Meetra Surik, Lord Scourge, Arcann Thexan Senya and Vaylin, Satele Shan and Darth Marr etc. It was the sendoff I always dreamed of in SWTOR made reality.

Sidious, & Vitiate are the two sith that's unredeemable

Yeah no one is redeeming Palp he was a psycho from birth. And Plaguis really brought out the worst in him

Sideous:
- Enslaved the galaxy for his own power.
- Killed of the Jedi as a tactical move before establishing his Empire.
- Did an unexplained off screen trick to come back from near death.
- Committed atrocities against peoples across the galaxy
- Plotted to have his daughter take his place.
- Was ended by 'not-jedi' because he couldn't turn off the force lightning.
Tenebrae:
- Wanted to devour the galaxy to fuel his immortality.
- Toyed with the Jedi and the Sith over centuries while running multiple Empires.
- Deliberately separated himself from his original body so he couldn't properly die.
- Stripped entire worlds of all life regardless of their allegiance to him just because he found it amusing.
- Plotted to kill his children to steal their power for his own.
- Was ended by an alliance of Jedi, Sith, Soldiers and mercenaries from across the ages.

In the end it isn't even close.

Ya know, if Disney ever pulls their heads out of their rears and starts adapting more content from Legends, Darth Vitiate could be a really solid option for a big bad in the post-Rise era. An ancient Sith Emperor, mostly forgotten to history, sealed away by the Jedi because they could not kill them, and finally escaping to find the Sith are all dead and gone, and the Jedi are all but extinct as well. Gobbles up the life essence of a planet to get his strength back, gets a few minions, and then it's off to Dromund Kaas, or maybe Zakuul, to begin his plans to take over a Galaxy that he believes is ripe for the taking.
