Because of time difference the Oscar’s are at 12-4 am for me, yet I watch every year for moment like these. At 4 am I saw this wonderful, sweet man who looked so blessed to even be at the awards, win his first Oscar. His speech was beautiful, touching and he got a standing ovation which was so deserving. I’m very happy he won, he really, truly deserves it and my fatigue today was totally worth it.

I had a huge crush on him when I was a teenager and missed him. When I found out years ago what happened to him I felt so heart broken. As soon as I heard he was nominated for the Oscar I hoped for him to have a come back with a bang. I am from Germany and the Oscars shows were not that interesting for me anymore, but that night I was awake just to see him win. He won and touched a lot of hearts.
