I'm glad that you're telling people who use chrome music lab that beepbox exists.

As a 6-year commercial music designer, thank you so much! I can finally make music that actually sounds good!

For me, limitations of Chrome Music Lab is its genius because instead of "Let's try moving these 236 sliders" you just create music. Because of it, I wrote music in it, that I would have never written in FL. I love CML.

you forgot to mention that beepbox is open source, so there are LOTS of mods on there
(i personally use ultrabox since it's pretty much trying to combine all beepbox mods which in return, gives massive customizabillity, but jummbox and padorasbox are also great too)

A helpful bit of music theory that I kinda use a lot as a wannabe musician is like. Certain notes feel like they "want" to move into another note. This depends on the scale and it's super complex, but you can feel your way through this.
If a note "feels" like it finishes the melody or just kind of like, rings out sorta, you can tease the listener by building up to that, and not playing a resolving note until a bit later.
Going too long without resolving kinda feels like, crummy, but you can toy around with it a bit. It's kind of like getting a drink of water after you keep dropping the glass and have to go to the store and buy a new glass each time. Way better than if you had just drank it at the first possible chance!
...lot more glass in your feet, though.

Hey, thank you so much, you introduced me to Beepbox, and without this video, i wouldn't be able to make "good music"

LMMS, Jummbox, Ultrabox, etc. are all goated free DAWs that I recommend.
